Default How to back-up Contacts and Calendar without iTunes

If you don't trust iTunes or if you just don't use it, you still need a method of backing up your contacts and calendar. Using the following method, you can quickly create a back-up. You will need something like WinSCP to create your back-ups since this requires SSH'ing into your iPhone.
    1. Download and install WinSCP to your computer.
    2. Connect to your iPhone
    3. Navigate to the /var/mobile/Library folder of your iPhone
    4. Copy the following folders to a safe place on your computer: AddressBook, Calendar
    5. You can also back-up other phone data such as: CallHistory, Notes, SMS, Voicemail, etc.

    Enjoy!

I've had some mishaps when sycing with iTunes, so, now I'm making a habit of doing this kind of back-up before syncing with iTunes JUST IN CASE!

That's easy, Tenorshare iPhone data recovery is able to help to recover lost data from iPhone and save them on the pc at the same time, it also help to backup iPhone data to computer without iTunes.

Moreover, iAny Manager is also a great tool to backup files but it need iTunes installed.
