Default How to use WinSCP with OpenSSH to SSH into the iPhone

You should start with a jailbroken iPhone with OpenSSH installed. You should reboot after installing OpenSSH. Download and install the latest stable version of WinSCP before beginning.

    Step 1
You need the IP address assigned to your phone by your Wi-Fi. You can find it in Settings>Wi-Fi Networks:

    Step 2
    Run WinSCP

    Step 3
Use the following settings then click Login:
    Host name: the IP address
    User name: root
    Password: alpine
    Protocol: SCP

The first screen you should see while the phone is connecting:

If this is the first time you are connecting with the phone you
will see the following screen. DO NOTHING, JUST WAIT!

If you have previously connected a different device, you will
probably see the following screen. Click Yes to continue.

    WinSCP will continue:

WinSCP will open with your local browser on the left and the iPhone browser on the right.

    Enjoy!

I'm not having any problems. Make sure you're running the latests version which at this point is 4.2.6 (Build 721).

maximus i think that you just forget something !!
omg : your problem is not the OS 7 . i think your error from a messing thing you didn't do ir before to the iphone to be ready for using with Winscp .
maximus i think you forget to put how to install the openSSh from the first page At cydia , cuz if you didn't install it the winscp always give's you error's ..
so omg i think your problem is to setup the openssh from cydia first and then try to use winscp . with the ddefuld user name and password ( root - alpine) don't change the password it's highly recommended .
how to install the openssh :
go to the cydia and then wait to load the first page and scroll down you will see openssh click on it and it will ask you to confirm click confirm form the up side then it will finish after several minutes .
and your phone will be ready for use with the winscp .
    Enjoy .

When I log on the first time I save so then when I'm back and forth modding files if I have to log in you save just a little time not typing in your Ip and allI would also install something like bosspreff or something so that you can enable/disable SSH when you wantWorks for me on XP service pack 3 and windows 7

I tried winscp once and it was not very good, so I used FilleZilla, which I had used for years with my Motorolas, and that works perfectly fine on Windows 7-64, Linux and Mac OS.
Nothing is impossible, only miracles take a bit longer!
