Pod2G has reported via his Twitter page that he is no longer associated with the Chronic Dev Team. He is credited with finding the exploit in the upcoming SHAtter jailbreak that is currently in progress. Chronic Dev has reported that the iPhone 4 is definitely root-able (jailbreakable) but he has also noted that the iPad and iPod Touch 4G are also vulnerable to the exploit. What they haven't done is release any details about how it is done or when a tool release can be expected.
