• Hotmail to get Exchange ActiveSync on Monday

According to CNET, Microsoft's Dharmesh Mehta has reported that Hotmail will get Exchange ActiveSync on Monday August 30th, 2010. This will allow Hotmail uses to get push email notifications on their cell phones and other mobile devices. Unfortunately there are some devices that do not support multiple exchange accounts but for users of the latest iPhone 4, Palm Pre and the coming Windows 7 devices, this will be very useful.

As another added bonus, users who do not connect to an exchange server but have a device with ActiveSync capabilities will be able to enjoy the email notifications also. Although Hotmail users have been waiting for IMAP for a long time, the ActiveSync option will be a great option for users who use Hotmail's POP access.
