Why hasn't anyone come out with a keyboard that you can tote around with you and plug in your iphone when you want to type? I heard one is coming but there should be lots of 3rd party additions right?

I'm surprised there isn't one too....at least not that I have seen. It'd be great for home use!

Welcome to the forum Bill!

the average iPhone user doesn't type important documents with their iPhone. The number of users who would purchase the keyboard would FAR outweigh the production costs etc...

as a matter of fact, I really only think it would be useful to the devs who are in the terminal constantly etc...

I would use it instead of lugging around a laptop to write on (I like writing). iphone does everything else I need but it's a pain to do a lot of writing on it. Just read that MacAlly is coming out with a blue tooth keybord for $99.

I wouldnt mind it either. Kind of like the software that comes bundled with my old Motorola phones... man, it's been awhile... I cant even remember the name of the program. I think it's Mobile Phone Tools ?? Plugged it onto the Motorola and I'd be able to reply to my SMS using my computer keyboard... good little program.. I miss my a1200 so badly...

Yeah, that was Phone Tools. It was a convenient way to text while sitting at my desk at work!
