Next issue is winterboard. I have download it twice and restarted springboard, When open it, there is nothing there. I go to delete and it show 0 bites.

Question is: Do I something else install first.

It could be a server issue with Cydia. They have been getting hammered today. Wait a while and try again!

Did not want to open a new thread, so I will ask here.

My wallpaper will not change. I can select a image and it acts like it going to change( gives me check mark) but the wp will not change. Therefor any themes apply will not change either.

You may have a theme enabled still that includes a wallpaper. You have to disabled it first. Try disabling all theme items and enable just the one you want to see. Also, always try a hard restart. Sometimes the springboard restart isn't enough.

I have no theme on the phone. I had this problem with 1.1.4 also. I was hoping when I upgraded it would be fix it. But No dice.

Try this wget......I had to add it the first time I used winterboard to get the themes to show.

i dont want to sound rude, but seeing as how you had the problem on 2 separate FW's and 2 different apps, im thinking this may be a user error, how are you going about changing the wallpaper etc...

this may not be applicable here, but i know that the new customize 2.0 will do everything BUT change the wallpaper on the iPhone, so maybe winterboard is somehow based on the same coding design/principle, and it has trouble changing wallpaper...someone else shoot this down please, it seems unlikely but still possible

Right now all that is on my phone is 2.0.2 jailbreak and nothing else. No winterboard no customize no theme.

Adding wallpaper go to setting > photo. select the WP i want, click add as wallpaper a check mark appears saying wallpaper added. ( this might not be exact, I don't use the iphone right now so this from memory) then nothing happens.

Thanks.

i think if you go into the photos and tap the fold out arrow, theres an option to use the picture as a wallpaper, is that what your trying?

You can't change the background wallpaper behind the icons using the built in wallpaper feature...when you change the background on the iPhone under settings what that does is change the lock screen background, and also a background you see during calls etc...

to change the wallpaper behind the icons you will need winterboard

It was the lock screen background. I fixed the problem Thanks guys
Here is how

Navigate to /private/var/mobile/library and delete the file named "LockBackground.jpg". Delete the file.
