Easier GUI Version of this tutorial can be found here:

IMPORTANT: If your are getting the Apple logo problem with ZiPhone 2.0 here is a link to ZiPhone 1.0 which didn't have this issue!

Perform these steps with your iPhone on and connected to your computer.

Step One
Download ZiPhone from: here (http://rapidshare.com/files/91090958/ZiPhone.zip), maXimus mirror (http://www.maximus.ws/forum/files/iphone/ZiPhone.zip)

http://www.iclarified.com/images/tutorials/655/3160/3160-500.png

Step Five
The program will prompt you to put your iPhone into recovery mode. To do this please hold down both the Sleep/Wake and Power buttons until you see the Apple logo. Once the Apple logo appears release only the Sleep/Wake button until you see the iTunes logo and cable on the screen.
http://www.iclarified.com/images/tutorials/655/3171/3171.png

Step Six
If you have a 4.6 BL iPhone you can now activate, jailbreak, and unlock! Just simply type in this command:
ziphone -a -j -u
http://www.iclarified.com/images/tutorials/655/3162/3162-500.png

Step Seven
The program will now search for zibri.dat. Then it will search for the iPhone. Once found it will tell you to wait for 2 minutes and 30 seconds.
http://www.iclarified.com/images/tutorials/655/3161/3161-500.png

Step Eight
After this time your iPhone will reboot and it will be activated, jailbroken, and unlocked!!!!
http://www.iclarified.com/images/tutorials/655/3163/3163-500.png

NOTE*: After completion its probably a good idea to install BSD Subsystem first then OpenSSH from Installer.app

NOTE*: If you are in an unsupported country YOU MUST patch AppSupport after unlocking or your dialer will keep crashing as will your SMS:

Please let me know how it turns out! Also, check in iTunes for the size of the "other" section of the iPhone memory to see if this method has the same problem of leaving ~200MB behind after jailbreak as some of the other methods have.

That was the fastest, easiest way to unlock, activate, and jailbreak.

2.5 minutes and it's done. Free Space shown on iTunes is 7.22 GB. Youtube also working.

Forgot this piece of info. I upgraded to 1.1.3 BB 4.03. After running this, it had 1.1.3, bb 4.02.

if you are here I get the Apple screen at start up and nothing seems to work try this

happened to me just last night with my boos phone 1.1.2 OTB BL4.6 I did restore it to 1.1.3 and try the ZiPhonev1.0 didn't work did work perfect with 1.1.2 and 1.1.1 not with the 1.1.3 so.........what I did was power down holding down the Wake and home buttons then the same hold down both buttons when yo see the apple, connect the iPhone to the dock and open iTunes and yo will have to restore I did that a couple of times until I found this version of ZiPhonev2.1 once you see all those numbers in the iPhone LCD you know is going to work

so if you need version 2.1 of ZiPhone here it is (http://iphonemodding.com/forum/files/iphone/ZiPhone2.1.zip)

well from the ZiPhone page this info (http://www.ziphone.org/)

Please accept my apologies.
A stupid bug in 2.1 didn't allow my "Z" icon to be deleted
and caused some minor problems.
A stupid typo.
In the download frame you now have ZiPhone 2.2.
Nothing changed. Bug removed.
And now some rest.. then back for new features shortly
in the next days..
Thanks to joserg for the picture!

For some reason, this version doesn't work for me. The GUI keeps giving me wrong zibri.dat version.

same happened to me but I took MaXimus advice on ZiPhone cmd version cause I can say that I did try all of them 1.0 2.0 2.1 2.2 and the one that really work well was the cdm version
with the others I don't know why but i did have some issues and crashes then the last one "I know that it's harder" but that one really did the job
